Business Blockchain
Our blockchain (“business blockchain”) has been developed over two decades, starting with initial experimental work in the early 1990’s, to explore the potential use of CD-ROM storage media for append-only data as an alternative to expensive hard drives with limited capacity. Expertise has matured in recent years through the design of our enterprise-level healthcare platform, which is being blockchain-enabled to support local, regional, and global deployments.
Our solution encompasses forensic records, mass scalability, transaction resolution, and secure distribution of data. Benefits include:

Our blockchain solution is particularly suitable in the following situations:
- Large scale deployments where rapid / near-real time transaction speeds are important; e.g. real time payment systems.
- Multiple node scenarios where real data integrity is important (“one reality / multiple nodes”, “single source of truth”).
- Secure internal communications through multiple layer security.
In the FinTech sector, the solution supports both Fiat currency and Cryptocurrencies. Design work is ongoing to finesse support for governance, audit and regional deployment.
Collaborative Web Applications
Motif8 principals were early pioneers in the design and delivery of web-enabled applications, deploying one of the first successful live TV internet auctions in Canada. In 2003, we developed and deployed a collaborative web-enabled application for the BC Colposcopy Program at Vancouver General Hospital, which has been in production, and actively supported and enhanced since go-live.
In these applications, a collaborative interface allows many users to simultaneously view and update the attributes of an object, much like a multiplayer action video game over the web (“many users – one reality”).
Collaborative Enterprise Software
Our focus is on enterprise level applications that are suited to multi-node / regional deployments on a small to very large scale. Under this model, systems are able to leverage business blockchain for both security and distribution / synchronization of data, making them highly scalable and able to accommodate large numbers of users.
